On 22 November 2022, Prof. Avv. The Professor will be joined by Prof. Pasquale Stanzione, Professor of Private Law at the University of Salerno and President of the Italian Data Protection Authority, Prof. Michele Caianiello, Professor of Criminal Procedure and Director of the Department of Legal Sciences at the University of Bologna, Prof. Vittorio Manes, Professor of Criminal Law at the University of Bologna, and Prof. Antongiulio Lombardi, Director of Regulatory Affairs at Wind Tre.

Luigi Balestra and Prof. Marco Martino, published by Giuffrè (2022). The Professor will analyse “The role of Foundations of banking origin in the promotion of corporate culture” in the opening panel of the Conference.

Prof. Avv. Giusella Finocchiaro will be a speaker at the Conference “The Role of the Lawyer in the Cyber World: the Fourth Industrial Revolution” organized by the Reggio Emilia Bar Association in collaboration with the Justice Foundation of Reggio Emilia.
The professor will speak on the topic “Data protection, between obligation and opportunity: in defense of rights and democracy.” Along with her will be Avv. Guido Scorza, Italian Data Protection Authority, and Avv. Silvia Toffoletto of the Milan Bar.

Giusella Finocchiaro will speak at the Conference “Cultural Heritage: the NFT Opportunity” organized by the Guido Carli Association of Culture, Economics and Politics and the Fondazione Estense. The Professor will explain the topic of “Legal Perspectives on NFTs.” She will be joined by Eng. Francesco Ubertino, Cineca President, Prof. Massimo Fantini, Alma Mater University of Bologna, and Dr. Pietro di Natale, Director of Ferrara Arte. Moderation is by Dr. Cristiano Bendin, Director of Ferrara’s “Il Resto del Carlino.”
64th Session of the Working Group IV, UNCITRAL

Prof. Avv. Giusella Finocchiaro will take part as President in the Session of Working Group IV on Electronic Commerce of UNCITRAL (United Nations Commission On International Trade Law) which will take place from 31 October to 4 November, in Vienna. She will chair the Session dealing with the use of Artificial Intelligence and automation in contracting. It is expected that the Working Group will exchange views on these two topics and focus on the compilation and revision of the provisions of the applicable UNCITRAL texts.
Intelligenza artificiale e medicina: privacy e profili di responsabilità civile – Seminar

Prof. Avv. Giusella Finocchiaro will join the “Presentation of the Artificial Intelligence Commission and the Lawyer 2.0 Training Plan” event organised by the Turin Bar Council. The Professor will take part in the seminar dedicated to “Artificial Intelligence and Medicine: Privacy and Civil Liability Profiles”, during which she will delve into the topic of “Artificial Intelligence in Medicine and Privacy”. The seminar will be introduced by Avv. Germana Bertoli and moderated by Avv. Elena Macerelli and Avv. Micaela Bertolino.
