On April 29th, Prof. Giusella Finocchiaro will join the ‘Conference on digital platforms and global law’ organized by UNIDROIT, in collaboration with the University of Roma Tre and the European Law Institute, at Villa Aldobrandini, Rome. The Professor will take part to the second session of the day, moderated by Prof. Veneziano, Deputy Secretary General of UNIDROIT, on the theme “Platforms for (International) trade, exchanges, and dispute resolution”.

On April 28, Prof. Giusella Finocchiaro will take part in the webinar “Cloud services, data protection and security” organized by Assonime, Associazione fra le Società Italiane per Azioni, for the presentation of the book “Codice della privacy e data protection” edited by D'Orazio, Finocchiaro, Pollicino, Resta, recently published by Giuffrè. The webinar aims to update the latest developments in cloud computing. Professor Finocchiaro will focus on the data protection aspects, also considering the contractual complexities.

25th April 2022

On 25th April, Professor Giusella Finocchiaro will hold a lectio magistralis on "European regulation on digital law" at the Beijing Normal University Law School. Professor Finocchiaro will illustrate the European legal framework on digital matters, coming to outline the main features of the European model of regulation of new technologies.

On April 4, the 63rd session of the Working Group IV on Electronic Commerce of the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law (UNCITRAL) will begin. The session is chaired by Professor Giusella Finnochiaro, Chairwoman of the Working Group.
The Working Group will discuss the “Draft Model Law on the Use and Cross-border Recognition of Identity Management and Trust Servic”, which will enable the international use and recognition of digital identity and trust services, but also the use of artificial intelligence and automation in contracting and data transactions.

Professor Giusella Finocchiaro will join as speaker the webinar "Le mille luci del web - Il commercio elettronico negli Stati Uniti, in Europa ed in Italia", the training event held by Fondazione Forense Bolognese and Union Internationale des Avocats.
During her speech, Professor Finocchiaro will illustrate the Italian legislative framework on electronic commerce.

25th February

On February 25th, Professor Giusella Finocchiaro will join the module "Internet, Data Protection e identità digitale" of the second level master of the Università di Pisa "Internet Ecosystem: Governance e Diritti". Professor Giusella Finocchiaro will hold a lecture on personal data protection and, in particular, on the subjects involved in the processings of personal data, on the data subject rights and on the accountability principle.
